Ford Motor Company has dived into the future of food service delivery through its Autolivery concept. The idea centers on the use of electric self-driving vans that work together with drones to pick up and drop off goods and packages in urban areas.
The concept was launched at this year’s Mobile World Congress. It was developed by Shanghai-based Ford designers Euishik Bang, James Kuo and Chelsia Lau for the company’s Last Mile Mobility Challenge. The fleet will not be ready until at least 2021. Still … it’s fun to watch.
