The Catering Cage: Interview with Mike Axiotis

As Lehigh Valley Restaurant Group’s (LVRG) executive vice president of operations, Mike Axiotis is charged with implementing and executing business strategies that foster growth. Lehigh Valley opened its first Red Robin location in 1993 in Allentown, Pa. Since then, the company has grown to 21 locations that operate throughout Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, Northeast, Southeast and Harrisburg regions.

Catering is now a large part of LVRG’s revenue growth model and continues to be an important component of Red Robin’s sales moving forward. In this podcast interview, Axiotis speaks with Erle Dardick about LVRG’s focus on catering and the company’s approach to building sales. Dardick is publisher of Catering Insights, and founder and CEO of MonkeyMedia Software and The Catering Institute.
