Jody Birnbaum is the president of Caterconsult, Inc., a food service business management consultancy providing core strategies, methods, resources, training and support to the food service industry. Jody spent 25 years in the catering business and was the founder and owner of Pear Tree Catering, Ltd. Jody is an expert in the development and implementation of catering channels in both full service and fast casual dining establishments.
Chad Keppen is the catering sales manager for Sweet Tomatoes and lives in Raleigh, N.C. He has been with the company for eight months and spent the previous 20 years in the retail and restaurant management industry. He also spent five years as a private business owner and is using his management and business experiences to lead Sweet Tomatoes catering sales growth.
Jackie Kurkjian is the national director of catering and backline sales for Potbelly Sandwich Shop. She has more than 14 years of restaurant catering experience and has been instrumental in designing and implementing national catering programs for Boston Market and Qdoba Restaurant Corporation. Her expertise includes strategic planning, improving efficiency of operations, directing all aspects of the sales process and developing and implementing multi-channel marketing plans.
Erle Dardick is founder and CEO of MonkeyMedia Software, MMS Catering Institute and Catering Insights, and author of “Get Catering And Grow Sales – A Strategic Perspective for the Multi-Unit Restaurant Executive.” Prior to founding MMS, MMSCI and CI, Erle was CEO at Tony’s Deli & Catering Company where he built a $2 million takeout, delivery and catering business and designed the framework for a scalable off-premise business strategy.
Marnielle Manderville is the director of catering for TooJay’s Restaurant and Deli and her role is to oversee catering throughout all 26 locations. Her main focus is to supervise a team of sales representatives and to work hand-in-hand with all locations to grow catering sales. Marnielle orchestrates strategic planning meetings to see where there may be opportunities within catering and works with operations to achieve success.
Jennifer Crawford is the catering marketing manager for McAlister’s Deli, a chain of restaurants with more than 350 units. As catering marketing manager, Jennifer’s role is to drive catering sales through the creation of annual catering strategy, programming tools and collateral, as well as training behind each promotional period. In addition to marketing, Jennifer provides guidance around packaging, margins and pricing recommendations for catering products and programs.
Lisa Wynn Taylor is a seasoned leader with deep retail, consumer insight and strategic marketing experience. In 2014, she joined the Focus Brands family as Sr. Field Marketing Leader for Moe’s SW Grill. Prior to Focus, Lisa held several marketing roles at YUM Brands where she was responsible for marketing and consumer engagement at Taco Bell and KFC. Prior to her work with YUM Brands, Taylor began her career in advertising where she discovered her passion for the restaurant industry.
